ROBYNNE PARKINSON, Vocals
Robynne sings lead and backing vocals and plays random percussion instruments for Ruby's Basement. She started performing at the age of 3 and grew up tap dancing and singing show tunes, including a two year stint as a performer at Six Flags Over Texas. Although her original career goal was to perform on Broadway, she got sidetracked and is now a construction lawyer. By night and on the weekends, she is the mother of three busy, but adorable, future singers. She has many musical influences, including Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge, Linda Ronstadt, Lyle Lovett and the Indigo Girls.

JIM ADAMS, Keyboard and Vocals
Jim has been playing piano since he was 4 years old, which is the age his mother started all her many children on the road to musicianship. At the same time Jim was learning how to finger Chopsticks, his father was leading a 10 piece big band and serving as president of the Jackson Michigan Musicians Union. After a detour into woodwinds during his school years, piano, and then Hammond organ, became Jim's primary musical outlet. In Detroit and Chicago in the 70s he played in several jazz groups of various sizes and styles. When he moved to Boston rock-a-billy piano became a new specialty. Now happily into middle age and living in Seattle, Jim loves playing just about any kind of music as long as it makes people want to dance.

CHRIS OWEN, Bass and Vocals
Chris started playing bass and singing in junior high school. Since then he has played a wide variety of music including country-western, church hymns, jazz, blues, and rock & roll. He really likes to play solid danceable bass lines that keep audiences snapping their fingers, tapping their toes, and moving to the beat. Chris also sings and particularly enjoys learning new tunes for special occasions.

JEFF FORAY, Guitar
Jeff is a Seattle area native, and has been playing music around Puget Sound for over 30 years. He has been spotted over the years in rock bands (Viagra Falls, Rockaway, Linda Seay Band), country bands (Haywire, Moochie Neuheisel), blues acts (Norm Bellas), jazz groups (Highline Community College, Foster High School stage bands), and many things in between. A mechanical engineer during the day, Jeff spends most of his free time holed up in his recording studio, the Surf Shack, or planning his next vacation.

DOUGLAS ROACH, Drums and Vocals
Douglas took his first drum lesson at the age of six, and sang in church and school choirs the entire time he was growing up. At times relying solely on his musical income, he has been in bands playing everything from country and western to jazz standards, first in Arizona, and later in Seattle, where he relocated in 1991. As a result, Douglas has extremely broad musical tastes, which are reflected in the eclectic, exciting repertoire of Ruby's Basement.

RUBY BLONDELL, Sound Board, Webmistress, Manager
Ruby first became involved in the band when she offered her eponymous basement as a practice space. As the band grew more ambitious they needed someone to mix the sound at gigs, so Ruby took on the job of sound engineer. She enjoys the creative aspects of helping the musicians to sound their very best.
